Did you know that Bicycling Magazine chose the Crater Lake Loop as one of its top ten rides?

One of the most beautiful and undiscovered places in southwestern Oregon, Crater Lake sits cradled inside the cone of a dormant volcano. The lake was created when Mt. Mazama erupted over 7,000 years ago and the resulting crater slowly filled with water. To us, the best part of this geographic wonder is that it can be explored on two wheels instead of four. Crater Lake Cycling - Singletrack in Oregon

You'll be able to experience the unique geology of this area first-hand and close-up. You'll see new shades of deep-blue, and breathe some of the cleanest mountain air on the planet.

Our bike trip will start in Medford, and then work its way into rolling farm and forested terrain south of the park. A great way to get warmed up and to build the anticipation of the big payoff - Crater Lake! Day two starts the climb up to the rim of the crater for our very first views of the lake - a spectacle that will leave you breathless, if the climb up to the crater didn't do it for you. You'll feel rewared with a great sense of accomplishment and a photo opportunity of a lifetime.

It doesn't end there, though. Day three is a fun day where we will bike around the lake and then hike down to water level to take a boat ride across the water. This is a beautiful ride that undulates along the rim and through the surrounding forest.

On Day four we head north to the Umpqua River. Now we are traveling down, down, down and the last night of the trip is spent at a famous fly fishing lodge on the banks of the Umpqua River.

Elevations on this trip range from 2,800 to 7,100 feet, so get ready to work your legs. However, when you’ve had enough our support van will be ready for you. You have the opportunity to control the challenge. Lodging includes a great bed and breakfast and the Crater Lake Lodge.

This is truly a trip of a lifetime.
