B. Martz, September 2004
1st Western Spirit trip

"The singletrack was mind-boggling: endless, physically strenuous at times but never to the point of being overwhelmingly difficult. And it was great having the opportunity to take a dip in the river every night."

Axel Neubauer, July 2005
2nd Western Spirit trip

"The park was beautiful. The guides were so kind and helpful. The guests were great. We had a super group. I have made some lifetime friends."

Mt. Hood

On this trip we travel through the Mt. Hood National Forest to the east of the giant peak itself. The singletrack in this forest is famous for a reason. Well-constructed ridge top trails provide you with surprise views of snowy Mt. Hood at regular intervals. Sometimes the peak seems so close you could reach out and touch the snow.

Cascade Lakes

Swooping and zooming singletrack, lower elevations (rarely above 7,000 feet), lakes at each camp, and relatively small climbs for a singletrack trip make this a great choice. The trails are tunnel-like paths through the heavily forested terrain of hemlock and pines. When we do pop out there are lakes to greet us at our lunch spots, at camp, and when you least expect it. Swimming is always an option. The water is refreshing to say the least.
